Indications/Uses
HIV infection. 
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 300 mg once daily, in combination w/ other antiretrovirals.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if rapid increase in aminotransferase, progressive hepatomegaly, metabolic or lactic acidosis of unknown origin, pancreatitis. Hepatic & renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Malaise & fatigue, resp tract infections, headache, abdominal discomfort & pain, nausea, vomiting & diarrhea.
Drug Interactions
Increased exposure w/ trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole. Inhibited intracellular phosphorylation of zalcitabine.
